STRD Southern Tier Railroading:
The Dereco Years

From the late 1960’s through 1984, Norfolk & Western’s subsidiary, Dereco, Inc. controlled both the Erie Lackwanna (until 1976) and the Delaware & Hudson (until 1984). This was a classic period of history for these two roads. One went bankrupt and folded into Conrail. The other was propped up to compete with Conrail. Join us for a look at the two roads as they were in the 1970’s. Thanks to the filming eye of Dave Deyo and his 8mm movies, these images are with us now. Color silent film. No narration with subtitles. 85 minutes - $29.95
